We drove from Michigan to Alabama during the first week of April. It was still pretty cold, wet, and brown up here, and the beautiful flowers and budding trees down south were SO refreshing. Emma had the camera almost the whole time, and she took some good pictures. These are a few of my favorites.
And here is our budding photographer. She took TONS of pictures. Fortunately, we are in the digital age so we can minimize the printing costs!
She took a beautiful picture of Caroline smelling the dogwood blossoms. Love it!
We had so much hanging out with Doug and Carol, and playing with Chelsea and Colman. They are too cute! The girls really enjoyed playing with them, helping feed them, walking around with them (holding their hands while they practiced walking). We took a bunch of pictures, but most of them were either blurry, or the camera clicked just after the kids turned out of the way or walked out of view. Great memories, though! Here's a picture of Doug with all the kids. :-)
While we were there, we went on a nature hike with Carol and the kids. It was beautiful! Colman rode on Byron's back, while Carol had Chelsea. There was a lot for them to see.
It was so nice to be on vacation, and we had a great time with family. What a blessing!
