Lauren turned 3 last Saturday, and we invited a few of her friends to join us for a Bear Hunt birthday party. Yes, you know the song... "We're going on bear hunt, gonna catch a big one, what a beautiful day. We're not scared. Oh no ... a big river. Can't go over it, can't go under it, gotta go through it..." and on it goes through the tall grass, the dark forest, the mud, etc. And there was plenty of mud to be found! It had rained all night, and was steadily pouring all day. Fortunately it wasn't cold, and there was no thunder and lightning. Just wet, wet, wet. But what could be happier for a bunch of two, three, and four year olds! Byron and our good friend Art lead the big hunt, and it was a riot to watch! Unfortunately, the downpour prevented much in the way of photography. Here's one to give you an idea.
