Emma is starting her LAST year of elementary school. Is that even possible? She is a 5th grader, and it seems like just yesterday that we were starting 2nd grade. Her favorite class is art - no surprise there - and she also enjoys music, especially the recorder. She is an AVID reader. We have no problem fulfilling the weekly reading quota, and she usually does 2x or even 3x the amount required. Go Emma!
Caroline is starting kindergarten! She gets to ride the bus to school with Emma every morning, and then comes home at lunchtime. It's a good thing too, because she still naps on a regular basis. She is in the Teddy Bear room at school, and she loves her teacher. Her favorite activity - dancing - is not included in the curriculum, unfortunately. But she makes up for that by whirling and twirling around the house when she is not in school.
Lauren is staring preschool! She goes to Little Lambs (the same school her sisters went to) two mornings each week. So far, her teacher tells me 1) she is very social and likes making friends, and 2) the sandbox is a big hit. I'm not sure how much progress we're making with ABC and 123 at this point, but she is having a great time.
